TULSA, OK - Tulsa's RiverParks Authority is feeling the effects of the struggling economy. The authority was told on Thursday morning to expect as much as a $45,000 budget cut from the City of Tulsa.
The RiverParks director says the most logical thing to cut would likely be the 4th of July fireworks.
The RiverParks display is the largest in Tulsa and attracts a huge crowd. So far, no corporate sponsor has stepped in to pay for the fireworks this year.
The RiverParks Authority still hopes to identify a sponsor, so the show can go on.
