TULSA, OK -- Authorities say weather may have played a factor in an accident between a car and an EMSA ambulance Thursday morning.
Tulsa Police say the accident happened on the westbound exit ramp of U.S. Highway 169 to I-44.
Light snow was falling in the Tulsa area at the time of the accident and the roadway was wet.
At the time of the accident, EMSA says the ambulance was transporting a patient to a Tulsa hospital.
The EMSA paramedics and the patient were not injured in the accident.
Another EMSA ambulance was called to the scene to take the patient on to the hospital.
The 49-year old driver of the car was taken to an area hospital after complaining of neck and back pain.
After a safety check, the EMSA ambulance involved in the accident was placed back into service.
