OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -- In a bad economy, some Oklahomans may have to choose between health insurance or paying their bills. The Insure Oklahoma program is helping to eliminate those tough decisions.
Beginning March 1, more small businesses will be eligible to apply for Insure Oklahoma.
The number was upped from 50 or fewer employees to 99 or fewer employees.
Then on April 1, the income limits for employees will increase.
"The income limits are based off of family size and also if you've got one worker or two workers in a household or if they are self employed," said Melissa Pratt with the Oklahoma Health Care Authority.
And 3,000 college students will also have a chance to apply for affordable, health coverage.
