Turner Park Celebrates Recreation Center Reopening

TULSA, OK -- A local park put on a celebration Sunday.

People at Turner Park had a big party in honor of its recreation center. The facility has been closed for the past six years because of a lack of funding.

"Parks are one of the first things to get cut, so there's no money to keep it open, so the neighbors around here would love to see it open," Turner Park neighbor Tabatha Eslick said.

Organizers of the event say it's a great way to get their community together and just have fun.
