Mother Sentenced In Child Abuse Case

CLAREMORE, OK -- A judge accepts a Rogers County mother's plea deal.   

Roxann Barnard was sentenced to 40 years in prison, followed by a 10 year suspended sentence for enabling the child abuse that killed her son.

Four-year-old Christopher Barnard died last summer.  Police say the boy's stepfather, Steven Lockler Junior, admitted punching the boy in the stomach.

Lockler's serving a life sentence that was also part of a plea deal.
