Griffin Communications Receives Leadership Award

TULSA, OK -- News On 6's parent company was presented with a prestigious honor Saturday night.  

Leadership Oklahoma recognized Griffin Communications as one of this year's Excellence in Leadership award recipients.

The award, which was presented to owner David Griffin, recognizes the Griffin family's local roots and statewide leadership as one of the few locally owned media companies in the country. 

Griffin Communications has grown throughout the years from a traditional television station in Oklahoma City to a multimedia company with platforms on television, cable, radio and the Internet.

The company's mission is focused on growing and dominating news, weather and sports content across the state.

The Griffin family is celebrating its 100th year of conducting business in Oklahoma.

Also honored with leadership awards at the ceremony were QuikTrip Corporation president Chet Cadieux, Gov. Bill Anoutubby of the Chickasaw Nation and philanthropist Henry Zarrow.
