UNDATED -- Families of Oklahoma military heroes may soon be able to attend college for free.
House Bill 1422, also known as the Hero's Promise Act would provide in-state tuition waivers to the dependents of Oklahoma military servicemen and women killed in the line of duty.
The Oklahoma House Appropriations and Budget Committee passed the bill unanimously on Monday. It now moves on to the house floor.
