TULSA, OK -- Robert Jarvis scored 14 of his game-high 17 points to rally Oral Roberts past Western Illinois 49-46 on Thursday night.
Marcus Lewis added 14 points and eight rebounds for the Golden Eagles (12-13, 10-3 Summit League), who trailed 24-19 at halftime.
Ceola Clark and David Nurse paced the Leathernecks (8-17, 5-9 Summit) with nine points apiece, but Clark missed a game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Jarvis scored in the second half to spark a 13-2 run that gave Oral Roberts the lead for good at 32-26.
Consecutive baskets by Lewis and Kyron Stokes gave the Golden Eagles a 47-41 advantage with 3:30 left, but neither team scored again until the Leathernecks cut their deficit to 48-46 on Josh Rivers' two free throws with 58 seconds left.
On the ensuing possession, Lewis was fouled with 24 seconds left and hit one of two free throws.
Western Illinois got the ball for the last shot by Clark.
