OWASSO--Michael Rinehart loves waterfalls and can often be found travelling Oklahoma photographing them. We contacted Mike after he posted some of his beautiful photos to our web site.

"I just wanted to post some of my photographs to make people aware that there are beautiful waterfalls all over Oklahoma," Rinehart said, "I've personally been to almost a hundred waterfalls. I have an ever-growing list of over 300 that I still have to visit."

Mike has crossed the state measuring and photographing the waterfalls for a book he intends to write. He first thought it would take a year to photograph all of Oklahoma's waterfalls, he's now three years into the project and thinks it may take another five years to complete.

"Future Oklahomans can read about them and understand how beautiful our state is," said Mike.

If you know of a waterfall on private land and want it included in Mike's Oklahoma Waterfall Study, he asks that you please send him an email.
