Jenks Woman Convicted Of First Degree Murder

TULSA, OK - A Tulsa County District Court jury has decided a 26-year-old Jenks woman should serve life in prison over the death of an infant last year. 

Shortly after midnight, jurors told Judge Clancy Smith their verdict was guilty and recommended a life term for Ashley Parnell.

Parnell was charged first degree murder in the death of 23-month-old Skylar Roininen.

Paramedics found the child unconscious and not breathing in a Jenks home on March 27.

Roininen died the next day.
