OSU Football Receives Verbal Commitment

STILLWATER, OK -- Oklahoma State University received its first verbal commitment of the 2010 recruiting class on Sunday evening.

Sand Springs quarterback Johnny Deaton has committed to the Cowboys, according to GoPokes.com.

Deaton rushed for 1,665 yards and 19 touchdowns while passing for 1,874 yards and 11 touchdowns last season.

His former teammate, Sandite offensive lineman Michael Bowie, signed with the Cowboys last week.
