OKLAHOMA CITY -- A 5-month-old girl, who police believe was injured by being shaken, has died at an Oklahoma City hospital.
Integris Baptist Medical Center spokeswoman Brooke Cayot says Natalie Emami died about 4:15 p.m. Thursday. The baby had been at the hospital since Tuesday night.
Twenty-four-year-old Jason Scott Day is in the Oklahoma County jail on a complaint of child abuse. Day, the child's father, is being held on $10,000 bail.
Emergency workers were called at 7 p.m. Tuesday to a residence and the girl was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
Day was arrested after hospital workers called police.
