TULSA, OK -- Tulsa teachers, social workers and law enforcement received a crash course in Gangs 101 on Thursday.
Some of Oklahoma's leading gang experts spent the day talking about all the things gangs don't want the community to know. Police say one of the biggest powers a gang has is its secrecy. That's why they say education is so important.
"It actually ends up robbing the gangs of a lot of their power to effectively work in our schools and in our community programs," said Richard Harris with the Tulsa County Juvenile Bureau.
The class is organized by volunteers from all different parts of law enforcement.
