TULSA, OK -- Three people are being questioned in connection with a robbery and carjacking overnight.

Tulsa Police say the incident began at around midnight when a man got out of his car to go into his townhouse near 24th and 114th East Avenue. He told officers, a man approached and took his cell phone and demanded the victim's car keys.

A few hours later, police say the vehicle was spotted by an officer at about 11th and Mingo.

That led to a short police chase which ended when the suspects went down an embankment into a creek bed near 13th and 87th East Avenue.

The officer managed to detain two passengers in the car and hold them until other police officers arrived to assist.

The suspects claimed they were at a club and were offered a ride.  Police officers did find ammunition by the car, but no gun.

Moments later, a third suspect, which police say was the driver, was spotted walking near 11th and Memorial Drive. That suspect was also detained and taken to a Tulsa hospital for what police say is a self inflicted gunshot wound.

Police officers are still looking for the gun.
