Tulsa Murderer Has A Date With Executioner

MCALESTER, OK -- If all goes as planned, a Tulsa murderer will be wheeled into the execution chamber at the state prison in McAlester at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Barring any last minute appeals, Darwin Brown is set to be executed for the murder of a Tulsa Quik Trip employee in 1995.

Tulsa Police say Brown was one of four men who killed Richard Yost, a clerk for Quik Trip, with an aluminum baseball bat during a robbery.

Earlier this month, the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board refused to change his sentence from death to life in prison.

This will be the state's first execution this year.
