TULSA, OK -- A Tulsa school took a symbolic step on Tuesday to prove that the sky's the limit when it comes to students' dreams for the future.
The social studies' teachers at Tulsa's KIPP Prep School organized a balloon release of 44 balloons in honor of America's 44th president.
The class compiled their aspirations, and tied them to each balloon.
"Just an example of some of the things I've got: ‘I'm happy to have a black president. My dream has already come true. We have an African-American president. My dream is to become an architect. My dream is to be the best I can be. My dream is to be a world-travelling vet. My dream is that everyone stops doing crime and taking each other's lives,'" said KIPP's Madonna Arnold.
Before the release, students recited portions of Dr. Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream" speech.
