The News On 6 would like to clarify an Associated Press story about the indictment of a former operator of the Tonkawa Bingo and Casino.

The Associated Press reported last week that 42-year-old Edward Eugene Street was arrested Wednesday in Tonkawa without incident and arraigned in federal court in Oklahoma City on Thursday.

The indictment states that Street, the sole owner of Oakland Enterprises LLC, signed personal tax returns under penalty of perjury with the knowledge that the returns included falsely inflated "commissions and fees."

According to the indictment, these falsely inflated entries were $171,110 in 2002, $426,121 in 2003, and $439,632 in 2004.

The Associated Press mistakenly reported that Oakland Enterprises operates Tonkawa Bingo and Casino.

The current operator of the Tonkawa Bingo and Casino is Gaughan Gaming - Tonkawa, LLC, according to an attorney representing the company.

Edward Eugene Street has never been an employee, agent, contractor or representative of Gaughan Gaming - Tonkawa, LLC or of Gaughan Gaming LLC.
