Crash At Tulsa's Chili Bowl Caught On Video

TULSA, OK -- A former developmental driver for Richard Childress Racing is recovering in a Tulsa hospital following a spectacular crash during a Chili Bowl race Wednesday night.

Tim McCreadie, 34, was injured when the rear axle snapped in his midget car, causing it to flip over a fence.

The race was part of the qualifier race at Expo Square at the Tulsa County Fairgrounds.

McCreadie was a developmental driver for RCR in 2007.   At the time of the accident, McCreadie was driving the No. 11W Wilke-Pak Spite Toyota. 

Chili Bowl officials say McCreadie suffered a fracture in his T-3 vertebrae.  He was scheduled to have an MRI on Thursday.
