Tulsa Police Arrest Man Following Traffic Stop

TULSA, OK -- One person is arrested following a traffic stop in a Tulsa neighborhood overnight.

The arrest happened just before midnight near McClure Park at 500 South 73rd East Avenue, when a Tulsa Police officer pulled a car over.

A passenger ran off and a search of the vehicle turned up a handgun.

The female driver told police she'd been at a party and didn't know the man, but was giving him a ride home.

She told officers the man pulled the pistol on her and told her not to stop. She did anyway and that's when the man ran off.

The man was found a short time later and taken into custody.
