Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office Busts Meth Lab

Tulsa County Sheriff's deputies say they found stolen property, a meth lab and several pounds of marijuana at a home on South 161 East Avenue in Leonard.

TULSA COUNTY -- The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office was called around 9:30 Saturday morning to 16522 South 161 East Avenue in Leonard in reference to stolen property. Deputies say a victim had spotted some of his property while driving by.

When deputies arrived, two men ran out the back door and into a wooded area. Deputies say the men were found hiding in some brush about an hour later.

Arrested was 59-year-old Robert Lee Shanks and 50-year-old James Dale Havener.

After the arrest, a search warrant was obtained. During the search deputies say they found three rifles, about three pounds of marijuana and assorted scales and other paraphernalia, a box meth lab with chemicals and stolen property.

Both men had outstanding warrants with charges pending of Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Firearms AFCF, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Grand Larceny and Knowingly Concealing Stolen Property.

Both are convicted felons and Havener is currently on parole with the Department of Corrections.
