Tulsa Teen Dies From Gunshot Wound To The Head

TULSA, OK -- The city of Tulsa has its first homicide of 2009.

Tulsa Police say 15-year old Kordero Coleman died Tuesday morning at a Tulsa hospital.

Coleman was shot in the head while inside the house of a friend Sunday night.

Police say someone hid across the street and fired shots into the house in the 4300 block of North Elgin. Police say it was the act of cowards, with no regard to who might be hurt and that Kordero Coleman was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

"The young man lives in the neighborhood, was visiting a friend, just got there a few minutes before this happened. He had no idea what was going on, doing nothing wrong," said Tulsa Police Sgt Mike Huff.

Detectives are looking for a dark colored Chevy Tahoe with two men inside that would've been in the 4300 block of North Elgin around 9 p.m. Sunday.
