BROKEN ARROW, OK -- The city of Broken Arrow will expand its tobacco ban Friday.
On-duty city employees will no longer be allowed to smoke on city property.
Employees were already forbidden from smoking in city vehicles through the first phase of the tobacco ban.
The second phase will go into effect on Friday.
Broken Arrow is trying to eliminate tobacco as part of its wellness initiative, which is aimed at creating a healthier workforce and cutting health-care costs.
