TULSA, OK -- The final two defendants in a nine defendant tax fraud scheme have been convicted.

U.S. Attorney David O'Meilia says 30-year-old Larry Brice of Tulsa has been sentenced to five years probation and ordered to pay over $11,000 to the Internal Revenue Service.

Another defendant, 42-year-old James Joubert, has been sentenced to five months in prison followed by a period of house arrest.  He was also ordered to pay over $5,000 in restitution to the IRS.

The two men and seven other defendants, one a local tax preparer, submitted or helped a number of other individuals prepare fraudulent 1040 and 1040A forms that were submitted electronically to the Internal Revenue Service over a five year period from 2001-2005.
