TULSA, OK -- A line of thunderstorms moved across the Tulsa area early Saturday packed some intense lightning.
One lightning bolt hit a Tulsa home near East 83rd Place, blowing a hole in the roof.
Tulsa Firefighters were surprised that the home didn't catch fire, but did say the surge was so strong that it sent bricks flying off the outside of the house.
The family was upstairs when it happened, adding the sound was deafening and everyone was just in shock.
"Just wow, I mean we were upstairs in the game room just playing games and it hit and it was just very loud," said homeowner Robin Farnsworth.
The home currently has no power, and firefighters say the wiring will probably have to be replaced.
The family says they'll have to stay in a hotel until everything is fixed.
