NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Third-team Oklahoma running back Mossis Madu will get his chance to shine when OU plays Florida for the BCS national championship January 8.
Starter DeMarco Murray is out after rupturing a tendon on the opening kickoff of the Big 12 championship game against Missouri.
That means backup and team-leading rusher Chris Brown will start with Madu moving into the backup role.
Brown ran for 122 yards and three touchdowns against Missouri while Madu added 114 yards on just 15 carries and also scored three TDs.
Madu says people have told him to be patient and that he always knew his chance would come.
