Mary Pace Celebrates 102 Years

SKIATOOK, OK -- A Tulsa-area woman is spending the holidays celebrating her 102nd birthday.  Mary Pace was born in 1906, one year before Oklahoma gained statehood.    

She moved from Missouri to Oklahoma on a covered wagon.  She says back then you didn't have a lot of options.  Of course, now we do, and Mary embraced those options.  She's flown on jets, made trips to Canada and Mexico, but Mary says she never went overseas.

"I told 'em, I didn't lose anything over there and I didn't have to go over to find it," said Mary Pace.

Mary has two sons and the family now stretches to six generations of children.  The whole family got together on Friday afternoon for group pictures to help capture the milestone.
