A group of Oklahoma attorneys are paying the price for the misdeeds of nearly a dozen dishonest lawyers.

UNDATED -- A group of Oklahoma attorneys are paying the price for the misdeeds of nearly a dozen dishonest lawyers.

The Oklahoma Bar Association says 11 attorneys from across the state ripped off their clients. Five were from Tulsa, two from Tahlequah and the rest practiced in Oklahoma City, Norman, Shawnee, and Ada.

Altogether, the bar association reimbursed clients more than $174,000, but say they deserved 40% more. All 11 attorneys have been stripped of their licenses.

A spokesman says they're giving clients their money back to help repair the damage done to the reputation of lawyers as a whole.
