A Warning About Gift Cards

TULSA, OK -- We've got a warning for anyone who is giving or receiving gift cards this year.

The Better Business Bureau says it's best to use your gift cards right away to ensure you get to use every dollar. 

Expiration dates or inactivity fees eat away at the gift card's value.

There are concerns about stores going out of business, but you do have a back-up plan.

"Many other stores that have closed have websites that you can go to and use the gift card online the same way you would in the store," said Bob Manista of the Better Business Bureau.
