TAHLEQUAH, OK -- Saturday was an historic day for an Oklahoma university. Northeastern State University handed out the first ever bachelor's degree in Cherokee Education.
Greg Drowning-Bear crossed the stage to receive his diploma on Saturday morning. NSU is the only university in the nation to offer a teaching degree in a native language.
Drowning-Bear says he now wants to pursue a master's degree at NSU.
