TULSA, OK -- Tulsa County will start sending the City of Tulsa bills for inmates in the county jail. They're bills that will likely go unpaid while the city fights the fees in court.
Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor sits on the Tulsa County Jail Authority, but was asked to leave Friday's meeting because of the pending litigation.
The county wants the city to pay $54 per day per inmate. The city says it provides resources to the county, and shouldn't have to pay.
