TULSA, OK -- A discussion in Tulsa on Friday looked at ways the community can better serve at-risk teens. The hope is to inspire more of us to mentor at-risk youth.
Speakers said without role models or mentors, many kids are left with no guidance.
"The need to be needed and the need to get attention and whether it's positive or negative attention really is irrelevant to teenagers. We just forget what kids are and we need to get back and understand that and only when we understand that can we really help them," said Tulsa County Juvenile Judge Doris Fransein.
