TULSA, OK -- One man is behind bars after leading Tulsa Police on a chase overnight.

The chase started at around 2:30 a.m. Friday, when police received a call about a domestic dispute at the Cobblestone Apartments near 51st and Memorial.

Police say the girlfriend told them that her boyfriend had assaulted her with a knife. Police officers stopped the suspect's car a short time later, but he drove off and the chase was on.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol finally stopped him on 51st Street just west of the Broken Arrow Expressway, but the suspect jumped out and ran off.

A police dog was called in and was able to track the suspect down.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the Tulsa County jail.
