TULSA COUNTY -- A stretch of U.S. Highway 75 north of the Okmulgee-Tulsa county line was shut down for almost 2 hours Tuesday morning after a semi flips onto its side.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the semi was heading north when a tire blew causing the driver to lose control.

The truck flipped, blocking the northbound lanes for at least two hours.

The accident happened at 201 Street South and 75.

Glenpool Police and Fire Department along with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol were on the scene to assist diverting northbound traffic.

OHP troopers say the driver was not injured in the accident.
