TULSA, OK -- A powerful storm system will be approaching Oklahoma Monday evening.

News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says windy conditions will continue today with highs near 60. Right now, there is a wind advisory for the entire state today until 6 p.m.  But it will be a different picture tonight as storms will develop followed by colder air early Tuesday.

Some light snow is possible Tuesday afternoon across much of northeastern Oklahoma along with strong north winds.

Ahead of the snow on Tuesday, storms may become strong to severe, mainly across south central Oklahoma and a few hail storms are possible across northern Oklahoma early Tuesday morning.

To keep up to date on the latest in this batch of cold weather, keep checking NewsOn6.com's weather section today and early Tuesday morning.
