TULSA, OK -- A morning house fire caused thousands of dollars in damage. It happened in the 2900 block of South Detroit.
Firefighters say a landscaper in the area saw smoke coming from the house. He ran to the front door and told the woman inside that there was a fire.
She made it out OK and called 911. Her boyfriend owns the home and says while he's upset about the losses, he's just glad no one was hurt.
"It's just stuff you know, there's a lot more to life than just the stuff, but it's going to be an uncomfortable holiday, but we'll be able to get around it I'm sure," said Joe Hull.
Firefighters say the fire was a challenge to put out because a second story bedroom had been added to the home.
