TULSA, OK -- An auto-pedestrian accident leaves one person dead on I-244 in Tulsa.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol say the accident happened a little after 10 p.m. Tuesday at Sheridan and I-244.
OHP troopers say a man carrying food tried to cross the interstate highway on foot. A woman driving westbound on I-244 struck the man.
Troopers had to shut down a number of the westbound lanes during the investigation.
OHP trooper Shiloh Hall warns that crossing an interstate highway on foot is not a good idea.
"It's an interstate. We do not recommend anybody on foot crossing an interstate," said trooper Shiloh Hall.
The man's name has not been released.
The woman who was driving the car was not hurt.
The OHP continues to investigate the accident.
