TULSA, OK -- Thanksgiving is Thursday and naturally everyone is thinking about food: turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes and pie. For many Tulsans, the pie headquarters is on North Harvard is Ann's Bakery.
As you may remember, Ann's was closed for more than a year because of a fire. They re-opened back in February. And, they're doing just fine.
Ann's Bakery has been in Tulsa since 1938. They were closed for 13 months because of a fire.
"Actually we've gained a lot of customers since we were closed," said Sharon Pollock.
Sharon Pollock and her crew are busy making chocolate cakes, bread, and a lot of pies of every variety: chocolate, lemon, pumpkin.
"Pumpkin and pecan are the main ones this time of year. And, this year for some reason, people are ordering cherry pies," said Sharon Pollock.
She says they still make them the way her father did when Ann's opened 70 years ago.
Pollock says the difference between Thanksgiving and Christmas baking is the fruitcake.
