OOLOGAH, OK -- Thieves target a Green Country store, but weren't counting on being caught on tape.

Thieves hit the Rogers Mini Stop in Oologah, but the store has some pretty good surveillance equipment.  Police are hoping someone will recognize the thieves.

Oologah police say it was just before one in the morning when a white Jeep Cherokee pulled up to the Rogers Mini Stop in Oologah.  Moments later two thieves bust through the front door with a rock.

"He threw it so hard, it actually came all the way across the room and dented the base on the floor here," said Oologah Police Chief Novale Thompson.

A security camera captured the thieves crawling inside.  Once inside, the men went straight for some cash stashed behind the counter.  And, it was there that they were captured on another camera.

"From the time they broke the glass, and they were going back out, was about 20 seconds," said Oologah Police Chief Novale Thompson.

Thefts are rare in Oologah.  Police Chief Novale Thompson is glad the store invested in security equipment, including cameras and an alarm system.

"I just want to emphasize, the police obviously can't be there all the time.  And, surveillance cameras and alarms, anything helps us solve a crime," said Oologah Police Chief Novale Thompson.

Investigators believe someone will recognize the men or the vehicle and that will lead to an arrest.

Again, this crime happened just before one in the morning.  Police say the white Jeep Cherokee is likely a 2003 model or newer.  It has a circular sticker on the lower left of the back window, and a square sticker on the lower right.
