TULSA, OK -- Heart disease is the number one cause of death in Oklahoma. But the new Saint Francis Heart Hospital hopes to change that.
On Sunday, the new hospital held an open house and health fair. People from all over Green Country came in to see the new facility and receive free cholesterol screenings, blood pressure checks and various other health tests.
With Oklahoma ranking so high in heart disease, this is something Saint Francis hopes will be a life saver.
"Cardiovascular disease is something that we know will affect all of us in one way or another. Whether it affects you personally or your family everyone in Oklahoma will be affected by heart disease," said Susan Bonner of Saint Francis Heart Hospital.
And the new Saint Francis Heart Hospital has gone digital. All of their medical records and tests are recorded digitally.
They also showed off their intensive care unit and high-tech catheter lab.
