TULSA, OK - Tulsa has a new park. H.A. Chapman Centennial Green is in the middle of downtown, on 6th Street near Main.
The park includes an amphitheatre on one side and a fountain on the other. Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor says the $2 million park is the crown jewel in city's efforts to revitalize downtown.
"Families will be here on Sunday afternoons enjoying picnics and the beauty of downtown Tulsa and that's really how we revitalize this city," said Mayor Kathy Taylor.
The city also unveiled a model of a new sculpture being created for the park. It's an abstract glass and steel interpretation of an oil derrick.
