TULSA, OK -- Green Country churches came together to help Tulsa become a better place on Sunday.
Thirty-five area churches took part in the city's first ever "Sharefest". The church congregations worked together on special projects throughout the city.
"That's one of the beauties of the Sharefest event, is that we all share that commonality in Jesus Christ, we may have differences in theology and doctoral understanding and that sort of thing but none of that gets in the way because we're unified together in Christ wanting all to make a difference in our city for him," said Hess Hester of Southern Hills Baptist Church.
Organizers for the event say they hope to make "Sharefest" an annual event.
