TULSA, OK -- Starting Sunday, Southwest Airlines will begin twice daily service between Tulsa and Denver.
The two flights will leave for Denver at 6:35 a.m. and at 12:40 p.m.
Tulsa International Airport officials say this is the first new service initiated at TIA in over five months and will add 274 seats for passengers arriving to and departing from Tulsa.
The celebration will be held on Monday, when Southwest Airlines will treat customers to cheeseburgers and other prizes.
Also on Monday, the Tulsa Fire Department will hold a water arch salute as the 12:40 p.m. flight departs TIA's terminal.
