TULSA, OK -- A rash of drunk drivers were detained overnight by Tulsa Police and Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers.
The DUI roundup started around 12:30 at 61st and Yale. Tulsa Police say a woman driving the wrong way in the westbound lanes of 61st street hit a truck head on.
The driver of the truck was injured. Police says the driver appears to have suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The woman was arrested for DUI and taken to the Tulsa County jail.
About fifteen minutes later Tulsa Police were dispatched to an accident at 36th Place and Riverside Drive.
Police say a driver going northbound struck a light pole, went over the curb and came to rest against a fence.
Police officers found the driver a short time later stumbling around near 36th and Norfolk. He too was arrested for DUI and taken to jail.
Shortly after 1 a.m. Thursday, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers stopped a car on I-44 near Peoria. Troopers say the driver was driving suspiciously.
The driver was also taken to the Tulsa County jail for DUI.
