OSU Basketball Tops Big 12 in Grad Success Rate

The National Collegiate Athletic Association released it's graduation success rates on Tuesday.

Stillwater, Okla. (OSU Athletics <http://www.okstate.com>) -- The National Collegiate Athletic Association released it's graduation success rates on Tuesday, based on incoming freshmen from 1998 to 2001 graduating within six years. Oklahoma State's men's basketball team had a GSR of 92, by far the highest rate in the Big 12 Conference.

The national average for men's basketball was 62 percent. Four Big 12 schools finished higher than the national average. Along with the Cowboys, Nebraska (77 percent), Kansas State (67 percent) and Kansas (64 percent) all finished above the national average.

In the last eight years, 25 former Cowboy Basketball players have earned their college degree from Oklahoma State. Twenty of those players have graduated in the last five years, including three former Cowboys who returned to OSU and completed their degrees after playing basketball professionally for several years.
