TULSA, OK - The Oklahoma Department of Transportation spent several hours inspecting a U.S. Highway 75 bridge over I-44 following a traffic accident Thursday morning.
Tulsa Police say a city of Tulsa truck crashed through the guardrail on the bridge.
The driver of the truck told police officers, he swerved to miss a truck that was getting onto 75 from I-44. After bouncing off one guardrail, his truck ended hanging off the U.S. Highway 75 southbound bridge.
Officers say the driver will be okay.
Debris from the bridge and truck fell onto a westbound pickup truck that was on I-44 below. The debris cracked the windshield and that driver was taken to a Tulsa hospital to be checked out.
No word on his condition.
