Trash Truck Accident Sends Two To Hospital

TULSA, OK --  What was first believed to be a deadly traffic accident sends two to a Tulsa hospital.   

The accident happened just after 6 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 71st and Garnett. 

Police first reported a 14-year old teenager had died in the accident, but later corrected that to say the teen was revived after being taken to a Tulsa hospital.

Tulsa Police say a Tulsa Union School trash truck was southbound on Garnett and a small car was northbound on Garnett.  The car turned left, which caused the trash truck to broadside the car at the intersection.

The 20-year old driver of the car was also taken to a Tulsa hospital.  She is listed in fair condition.  The 14-year old passenger is listed in critical condition.  

The driver of the trash truck was not injured.
