Towns Rally Around Football Players

OWASSO, OK -- A celebration of life and remembrance takes place on the football field on Saturday.

Hundreds of friends and neighbors showed up to support two Green Country 4th grade football teams.   Both Owasso and Collinsville have players whose mothers recently passed away from cancer.  The communities came out to support the boys during this difficult time.

"It really doesn't matter who wins when it comes down to it, cause both boys are playing, both teams are playing for each boy on their team. So, this is something.  Both boys are just giving all they've got, all their heart, all their love," said Billy Fields, whose wife died.

Both teams were undefeated coming into the game.  They say the community support has been overwhelming.
