TULSA, OK -- Bringing books to life. That was the idea behind the Tulsa City-County Library's Renaissance Faire on Saturday.
The theme for the fourth annual event was Once Upon A Time and the faire focused on classic fairy tales at Martin Regional Library near 26th and South Garnett.
"There are so many great characters that have come to life from story book land. We have good kings, evil queens, Captain Hook, the Big Bad Wolf, but there's also Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, Snow White. Everyone is here just to have a good time," said chair Heidi Garrett.
There was music, dancing, demonstrations and even sword fighting. Sponsors for the event say it's a great way to get kids interested in reading.
