CLAREMORE, OK -- State Highway 20 at Keetonville Hill will be closed this weekend and into next week.
The Oklahoma State Department of Transportation says the closure will allow crews to install support piers on the hill which are showing signs of a slide.
The closure will begin Friday at 7 p.m. and continue through 7 a.m. Tuesday.
ODOT officials say engineers have inspected the slide area and determined the highway has not yet been damaged. They say this weekend's work is preventative in nature.
Motorists are advised to find an alternative route.
