Beating Victim Names Her Attackers

TULSA, OK -- Two residents have been arrested in connection with an overnight beating.

Tulsa Police say a person who had given two people ride overnight, told police officers the couple stated they had severely beaten an aunt and had cut the victim's throat.

Upon investigation, police officers located the aunt at the Avalon Apartments in the 6800 block of South Trenton and found she had been beaten and it appeared her throat had been cut.

The victim identified 45-year old Hyland Lanham and 32-year old Richard Laird as her attackers. Both were located and questioned by Tulsa Police.

The victim was taken to a Tulsa hospital.

Her condition was not known.
